Everything we do relies upon the safety of our workforce and the communities around us, as well as employees, clients and visitors. We aim to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work and provide them with necessary information, instruction and training to achieve this.
Our approach to safety focuses on four main activities:
- Identifying hazards and assessing the risks associated with our products and operations
- Developing and implementing operational controls with built-in layers of protection to reduce the impact of those risks
- Monitoring and maintaining our hazard recognition, risk assessment and control activities to ensure they are current and effective
- Reacting to correct gaps in our protective systems and continuously improving system ability

It was our first time using Smiths for our festival, Dubs in the Middle and we are very impressed! Adam was extremely helpful with booking it all in. The team on site were all lovely who worked all weekend and even on a Sunday! Loved the bins themselves, lighter weight being plastic not metal so made my life easier moving them about the site.
