Gloucester Rugby Club C & G Stand

Client: Slick Seating

Location: Gloucester RFC

Duration: 5 weeks

Project Overview: The project comprised of the removal of asbestos, demolition of the main stand and the crushing and screening of the hard material on site.

Scope of Work: To remove the asbestos, access to the roof was achieved via a mobile access platform. Asbestos sheets were removed in whole sections and were cut free from the building using angle headed bolt cutters. On removal the sheets were placed in waiting covered skips.

The steel roof was removed in a controlled manner and the building itself was demolished down to slab level. The floor slabs were broken up using hydraulic breakers fitted to demolition specification excavators. The resultant material was crushed on site using Smiths mobile crushing equipment.

The project was completed on time and on budget and handed to the client in a clean and tidy state.
