Managing Director
Alan started the company in 1982 with one machine and himself as the only operator. He has been at the forefront of the development of Smiths and has progressed the business into what it is today but remains very modest and attributes the success to the great people he had around him.

Anne took on the first full-time role of the administration team in 1984. She remains an integral part of the business today in managing the payroll department for the whole group.

Group Operations Manager
James is responsible for leading Group operations, driving performance, collaboration and continuous improvement across the business.
IT Director
Stuart leads the Group’s IT function, overseeing systems, security and digital development to support operational efficiency and long‑term strategy.
Finance Director
Richard is responsible for overseeing the Group’s financial performance and overall finance function.
Plant Hire Divisional Manager
Ben is responsible for the day‑to‑day management and strategic development of the Plant Hire division, delivering operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Bid Manager
James manages the bid process, coordinating tender responses to secure new opportunities across the Group’s services.

Will leads the Demolition division, overseeing safe, compliant and efficient delivery of projects across a range of sites.
SHEQ Manager
Peter is responsible for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality across the Group, ensuring compliance, best practice and continuous improvement.

Ian manages day‑to‑day waste operations, leading teams to deliver reliable, compliant and customer‑focused waste solutions.
