NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH CARDIFF RUGBY

We are pleased to agree a new sponsorship deal with Cardiff Rugby.

The new partnership sees Smiths secure the waste management contract for Cardiff Arms Park while benefitting from branding across the iconic site.

The Gloucester-based specialists pride themselves upon sustainability and add further expertise to the Blue and Blacks’ commitment to the environment.

Cardiff Rugby Commercial Manager, Gavin Vaughan-Evans said: “We are thrilled to have Smiths on board as our Official Waste Management partner.

“We are working hard to improve our sustainability here at the Arms Park and working closely with Smiths will only improve our waste management and recycle sector. We look forward to working with Lisa and the Smiths team over the coming months on a number of projects here at the Arms Park.”

Stadium Manager, Jamie Muir added: “I am excited to welcome Smiths as our official waste management partner. Cardiff Rugby are committed to creating a sustainable Cardiff Arms Park and Smiths knowledge and expertise will further assist us in our commitment to reduce, recycle and reuse our waste.

“We already recycle a high volume of the waste we produce and regularly review what improvements can be made on match and non-match days. We look forward to working closely with Smiths over the coming months and communicating our plans to supporters.”

Smiths already work with the likes of Gloucester Rugby and are established as one of the city’s largest businesses.

They pride themselves on family values and have committed to reduce their impact on the environment by reducing emissions and waste, and recycling more than 80 per cent of the waste collected.

Smiths director, Lisa Smith said: “We are delighted to have signed this deal with Cardiff Rugby. We have operated in Cardiff and South Wales for many years and with rugby having always been important to us, this seemed like the perfect partnership to be formed.”
