Waste Management Area Supervisor

We are currently hiring for a new position at out Moreton Valence site in Gloucester. The Supervisor – Waste Management Division will be responsible for ensuring your designated area runs to plan within production, environmental and health and safety parameters. Supervising a small team of operatives, controlling incoming and outgoing waste streams, material quality checks and organising vehicles movements in your area, ensuring all vehicle and pedestrian movements are safely managed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The candidate would be required to manage a team which will include site set up, keeping site records, ordering and receiving plant and materials and adhering to and enforcing health and safety rules.
• To carry out some administrative duties using site computer to input plant defects and communicate with contractors/suppliers via phone and e-mail.
• Maintain and continually review all processes and systems currently in place and to assist with any proposals for improvements required.
• Working primarily in the Gloucester Depot, though at times you may be required to work further afield within other depots within the division so a full driving license would be required.

Qualifications and Skills

Plant equipment and supervisory training certificates whether in construction or waste management would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.

This position is a varied role so would suit a keen enthusiastic individual with a can do attitude but must also be prepared to work as part of a team if the site programme requires it.
