Plant Hire Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Hire Administrator to join our Plant Hire Division, this role will report directly the Plant Hire Divisional Manager and is based at our Eastington depot.

Working in the extremely busy Plant Office no two days will be the same. The successful candidate must have previous administration experience. The role requires high levels of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, you will also need to be highly organised and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Job Purpose

To assist with ensuring the smooth running of administration within the Plant Hire Division.


  • Take payments from clients when required
  • Ensure all relevant insurance covers are in place
  • Raise Pro Forma invoices when required
  • Complete miscellaneous invoicing
  • Liaise with hire team on all miscellaneous hires
  • Conduct Return to Work Interviews with staff when required
  • Communicate with the finance department, including credit control and purchase ledger
  • Carry out all necessary duties to ensure preparation of an accurate management report
  • Maintain database with all client insurance documentation including requesting updated certification
  • Assist with administration, diary and email management for the Plant Manager
  • Complete administrative tasks to comply with Company procedure
  • Taking messages and helping with customer enquiries on the phone
  • Maintain records of Land Drainage projects, including updating the board
  • Compiling reports as and when required
  • Organise, note take and attend meetings when required
  • Raise invoices for sold items of plant and equipment
  • Assist Plant Hire Workshop Manager with administrative duties when required.
