HGV Class 2 Driver – RCV Bin Collections – PM Shift

Its Trade Waste Division collects waste from over 2,400 customer sites and the Skip Hire Division handles more than 2,000 skip collections each week. We are looking for a full-time, experienced HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver to work the PM shift 2 pm to 12 am.

£13.50 per hour rising to £14.50 after successful completion of a 3 month probation period.

You will be delivering wheelie bins to a planned trade waste round in both commercial and domestic properties in and around the Gloucester area whilst adhering to Road Transport legislation and fulfilling the Company’s obligations.

Tasks and duties will include:

• carrying out routine vehicle checks
• making sure that the load is correctly placed and is secure
• delivering wheelie bins
• driving HGV refuse vehicle (RCV)
• maintaining a log book with details of trips, including rest breaks

To successfully secure this opportunity, you must:

• have at least one year HGV Class 2 experience
• hold a valid DCPC and Category C licence
• be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
• have a great attitude and strong work ethic
• be capable and confident in your ability.

Good local knowledge is beneficial.
