65 Tonne of General Waste and 7.5 Tonne of Cardboard were removed from site.
All waste was taken to Smith’s Recycling Facility at Moreton Valence for further processing.
Scope of work:
Set up – 25th-28th July 2016
From Monday to Thursday the 500 wheelie bins were sited around the show ground and waste generated by stand set up was collected. Approximately 4000 campers arrived during this time and 50 x 1100Litre wheelie bins were sited to manage the campers waste.
Event – 29th-31st July 2016
5 teams of 5 staff were stationed across the show ground to litter pick and remove event waste throughout the day. 140,000 members of the public passed through the showground over the weekend.
Clear up – 1st-5th August2016
Clear up began on the morning of Monday 1st August 2016. The teams started to bring in the bins and litter pick the car parks and camp site. The Ragley Hall Estate was 99% clear and tidy by Tuesday afternoon and was fully returned to its pre-event state by Friday.
The Gamefair Management Team were very pleased with Smiths service and both parties are looking forward to working together at Hatfield 2017. The Gamefair returns to Ragley Hall in 2018.
