Smiths has been established for over 20 years during which time it has continually expanded its customer base in the Midlands, South West and South Wales region. This rapid growth has come about because of their commitment to exceeding their customer's expectations, professionalism and dedication. To meet customer demands Smith's have recently opened their latest Skip Hire and Waste Management depot in Bristol and an additional Construction based office near Cardiff.

The Welsh Construction office is ideally situated in Miskin on the M4 corridor just west of Cardiff giving a good geographical coverage of the South Wales region. This new venture will enable Smiths to provide the same range of quality services as they do from their head office in Gloucestershire, ranging from demolition and earthworks right through to paving and external works.

A key objective is to expand upon the success and growth in the South Wales construction market. By opening a Welsh office it shows Smiths commitment to working in this region as well as offering the opportunity to build upon existing relationships with customers and suppliers as well as creating new ones.

In the last year we have taken on over 38 full time employees in the area with this trend set to continue.

As part of their commitment to reducing landfill and recycling Smiths has invested heavily in its Waste Management and Recycling facilities. Smiths opened their latest Waste Transfer station in Avonmouth which offers a full Skip Hire service that is efficient and responsive to the needs of the domestic and commercial customers supplying chain lift skips ranging from 2yd to 16yd and 15yd to 40yd roll on/roll off hook loader bins.

The ethos of the site is to recycle and reclaim waste, therefore minimising the environmental impact and reducing the quantity of waste taken to landfill. The depot is licensed by the Environment Agency and is designed to accept waste from a variety of sources. With a dedicated weighbridge the site can cater for all vehicle sizes from light vans though to articulated lorries.

This facility is ideal for a quick turnaround enabling customers to maximise their efficiency in the Bristol area.
