We are concentrating our efforts on raising funds to support The James Hopkins Trust. Established in Gloucestershire in 1989 JHT provide care for babies and children up to the age of 5 who have a life limiting or life threatening condition while supporting their families.

The James Hopkins Trust are currently supporting over 90 children in Gloucestershire, including Alan Smith’s granddaughter, Poppy. We recently learned that Poppy has a rare genetic (non-hereditary) disorder that affects brain development resulting in severe mental and physical disability, called Rett syndrome. There is no cure for Rett syndrome so treatment focuses on managing the symptoms.
More information on Rett syndrome can be found here: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/rett-syndrome/Pages/introduction.aspx
Smiths have raised in the region of £16,000 for The James Hopkins Trust since August 2017.
